Corrin {18 Months Old}

Corrin turned 18 months old Tuesday.  She is a little diva tomboy.  At eighteen months old, Corrin...

... weighs 22 pounds, 8 ounces. She is 30.5 inches long. 

... wears size 4 diapers, and size 18 month to 24 month clothes.

... is currently getting all four of her eye teeth at the same time.

... likes to brush her teeth, and will begrudgingly allow her father or I to brush them.

... has started playing with her dolls. She tends to treat them really roughly, but she loves dragging a baby around with her.

... has a decent vocabulary.  She says mama, dada, My (for Micah), cookie, that, baby, belly, nose, eye, ball, cup, hey, bye, mouth, shoe, uh-uh (no), and a few others.

... can identify her eyes, nose, mouth, belly, and sometimes ears.

... loves clothes and shoes. She has been known to throw a small fit because she wanted her shoes put on her feet.

... loves to take pictures, and will smile and say "cheese" if she see a camera. She will also take electronics (camera, phone, anything that looks like it could be a camera) and pretend to take pictures.

... loves to talk on the phone. She has been known to call her mimi on both the landline and cell phones and have conversations before anyone realizes that she's actually talking to someone.

...  eats very well.  Corrin is known as the Pit in our home, because she appears to be bottomless.  She is usually the last one to leave the dinner table.  When she decides that she is ready to eat, she will drag her highchair away from the table, and climb up.

...  is the resident climber and dare-devil.  She's always running, jumping or climbing.

... has a silly sense of humor.  She finds the silliest things funny.  Sometimes I think she thinks her brother is a clown.  If no one else can get her to laugh, Micah can make her laugh.

...  can feed herself relatively well with a spoon. Of course, she still makes a mess, but usually more food ends up in her mouth than on the floor.

... sings along with music.  You can't understand any of the words, but she makes the general sound.

... is called Rin, Rinnie, Rinna, Mamacita, Little Miss, and Boss Lady.

Corrin {Eleven Months Old}

 

At eleven months old, Corrin...

... is wearing size 12 month clothes, and size 3 diapers.

... can stand unassisted, but refuses to do so unless distracted.

... is still sleeping in our bed, but will go into her own room before she turns one {next month}.

... is learning to play independently.  She still needs for someone to be in her sight, preferably in the same room.

... wants to feed herself. She is weaning very well.

... has a temper.  She hits and bites.  She will hit if you do something to upset her, such as taking things from her or telling her no.

... is called Rin, Rinnie, Rinnie Ry, Mamacita, and Little Miss.

Corrin {Ten Months Old}

This post is several weeks late, but I'm posting it anyway.  She was ten months old on July 4th.

At ten month old, Corrin...

... wears size 9 months or 12 months clothes, and size 3 diapers. 

... is crawling on her hands and knees now.  Before she would slide along on her belly.

... still sleeps with Mikey and I.  We have tried to get her in her own room, but she refuses.  This month, she will go into her own room.  We just have to deal with a few sleepless nights.  We're gearing up for that.

... can climb the stairs.  We do a pretty good job of keeping her off of them, but every once in a while she will follow Micah to them.

... says ma-ma, da-da, and ba-ba.  We really don't know which came first.

... can stand unsupported, but won't.  She cruises along the furniture, and will switch from one chair to the next, or between the chair and coffee table.

... fake laughs.  She does this big, fake laugh whenever she hears someone else laugh.

 ... is called Rin, Rinnie, Rinzie, Rinnie Ry, and Mamacita.

Corrin {Nine Months Old}

At nine months old, Corrin...

... wears 9 month or 12 month clothes. She's in size 3 diapers until this box is done, then she's moving up to size 4. 

... went on her first vacation to Disney World! (I'm working on sorting through the pictures, but they'll be posted.)

... absolutely loves her daddy and her brother.  Mama is leftovers.

... has four teeth!  You can see them all in the pictures.

... is boycotting her nursery.  She refuses to sleep in her crib.  We have even had her fall asleep in our bed, and tried to move her, and she woke up screaming at the top of her lungs. 

 

... is crawling everywhere.  No place is safe. She follows her poor brother everywhere.  

... is pulling herself up and standing while holding on to furniture or toys or our bodies. She hasn't managed to drag Micah down to the floor yet, but I think it's just a matter of time.

... laughs at everything. She's ticklish, and she thinks that everything is funny.  She thinks it's the most hilarious thing when her brother is crying. 

... is eating everything she can get her hands on.  She has recently started refusing to drink her formula, insisting that we feed her from our plates. 

... is called Rin, Rinnie, Rinzie, Rinnie Ry, Turkey Legs, and Mamacita.

 

Corrin {Eight Months Old}

At eight months old, Corrin...

... wears size 3 diapers, and 6 months or 6-9 months clothes.

... is no longer breastfed.  We have weaned her to formula, and she eats jar food and some table food.

... has 2 teeth!  She hasn't tested them out on us yet, but I'm just biding my time.

...  slept in her own room all night!  It should be noted that she was awake for approximately an hour and a half.  And she woke up at least 4 times that night.  We haven't been able to get her to sleep in her own room the whole night again since then.  She's an expert at sleep deprivation.

... likes the sound of her own voice.  She makes funny noises all the time.  I love it.

... finally has her own crib in her room finally, speaking of sleeping in her room.  We had borrowed a mini crib, that she took a few catnaps in.  The mini crib mostly held laundry.

 

... spent a week away from her dad and I for the first time.  She and Micah spent spring break with my aunt and her family.  She did really well, and they both got spoiled.

... is army crawling.  I don't no that anyone else in the family is ready for Corrin to be truly mobile. I have a feeling that she is going to be into everything.  i also thing that poor Micah is going to be harassed to within an inch of his life.  She loves her brother, and he's not going to catch a break when she starts moving around under her own power.

... is called Rin, Rinzie, Rinna, and Sissy.
