Micah has big brown eyes. Eyes that don't miss a thing. Eyes that sparkle when he laughs. Eyes that have clogged tear ducts. We went to the eye doctor to have Micah's eyes checked. His pediatrician recommended it, because it appeared that Micah's eyes weren't draining properly. Sure enough, the pediatric ophthalmologist confirmed that Micah's tear ducts are clogged. We had hoped that he would grow out of this by now, but it has gotten to
the point that something has to be done to help him along. He has to have a procedure done where his tear ducts are probed and flushed to clear the obstruction. It is the least invasive option. A part of me is extremely anxious about the procedure, particularly because he will have to be sedated. I have every expectation that everything will go smoothly, and we'll be in and out in no time. But he's my baby and I'll always have just a little bit of worry in the back of my head. Not looking forward to this.
