13 Weeks

* How far along?: thirteen weeks
* What's baby up to?: Your fetus is forming teeth and vocal cords... savor this, their non-functional phase. Baby is approaching normal proportions, with a head now only one third the size of the body. Intestines are in the process of moving from the umbilical cord to baby's tummy.
* Weight Gain: no new information
* Symptoms: tender boobs and some tiredness (I still like naps, but they aren't necessary anymore)
* How big is baby?: about the size of a peach (about 2.9 inches)
* Sex: n/a
* Maternity clothes?: yes, I bought maternity pants, and I still like my belly bands
* Stretch marks?: nope
* Sleep?: pretty good; still gotta go potty once a night
* Best moment this week?: hitting the 2nd trimester mark
* Movement?: nope
* Food cravings?: food
* Labor signs?: n/a
* Belly button in or out?: in
* What I miss: Not being treated like I'm going to break
* What I'm looking forward to: having a noticeable baby bump, instead of baby bloat;
* Milestone: reaching the 2nd trimester

11 weeks

So I went to the doctor today for my monthly check-up. All is well.  And they changed my official due date is December 6, 2010.  That puts me at 11 weeks today instead of on Wednesday.  I also found out that I have negative blood type, and will have to have the Rhogam shot.  The baby's heart rate was 163, which is really good.  All is well in baby land.  Oh yeah, and the the doctor told me to take children's vitamins instead of the prenatals to avoid the prenatals making me sick.

No new picture this week, but check me out next week.

* Sex: n/a
* Maternity clothes?: nope, but I think I'm going to need maternity pants soon

And to top off the day, we went to Myrtle Beach, and the car wouldn't start.  That was fun.

Nursery Project: Getting Inspired

I am looking forward to a lot of things throughout this pregnancy and afterward, but right now I am focused on planning the nursery.  I would have thought that shopping for stuff for the baby would be it, but I've been very good about staying out of the baby section while I'm out shopping or not buying anything if I happen to run into baby-related items.

I don't know if I'm having a boy or girl yet (Mikey says boy, I say girl).  I have ideas for both a girl nursery and a boy nursery.  I think the colors could work for either, but the focus of the room will hopefully say boy or girl.  I am still gathering my thoughts, but here is an idea board for the girl nursery that is absolutely incomplete and doesn't really show what I have in my head, but it's the best I can do right now.
