Walking Crazy

Micah is a professional walker now.  He's walking across rooms, and walking while drinking from his sippy.  He will stand back up and continue walking if he falls.  He catches himself if he starts falling while he's walking.  He's picking it up so fast.  It's really amazing.  He usually prefers to crawl, but he's walking much more often.  And without any prompting.  He decided he was ready to walk, and he's walking all over the place now.   It's nothing to see him walking across the floor now.  I don't think I'm ready for what's coming next.

Giles Christmas 2011

While this was not Micah's first Christmas, it felt like it.  Last year, he was nearly six weeks old.

This year was different.  He was taking steps, and playing with the other children.  He enjoyed interacting with everyone.  He also got absolutely too many toys.  Of course, as usual, I only got pictures at our first stop of the day.  I'm going to do better.

My siblings and I, and Micah.  (Missing Nicky)  I'm the oldest, and the smallest.
Following this stop with my mom's family, we visited, Mikey's dad's family, my dad's family, and Mikey's aunt and uncle.  Lots of fun!    Here's Micah's Christmas loot.

The pictures are missing a quilt made for Micah by my grandmother and a coat from his mimi.

A Baby Shower

We had a baby shower for my sister in anticipation of the arrival of her little man.  We played games, ate, talked, and laughed.  Here are a few pictures.  I was having too much fun to take very many.

The cake that Angel had to have.  Made by a family member.  It was delicious!
